Although separate businesses, we share our facility with South Carolina Veterinary Emergency Care and are pleased to offer 24-hour patient care. Component transfusion therapy (blood and plasma), oxygen support, and a variety of medical treatments are just a small part of this around-the-clock critical care.
South Carolina Veterinary Internal Medicine (SCVIM) functions within the larger South Carolina Veterinary Referral Center to offer surgical, dermatologic, ophthalmologic, and physical therapy referral services in addition to our internal medicine expertise. We are excited to announce that we are in the process of planning a new state of the art hospital. This larger integrated facility will allow us to further our goal of providing the highest level of care to your pet in a cutting-edge environment. We will keep you posted on building developments.
South Carolina Veterinary Internal Medicine (SCVIM) sees scheduled appointments by referral only, after your pet has first been evaluated by your veterinarian. We do accept direct patient transfers from the emergency clinics in Columbia, with approval by your veterinarian. South Carolina Veterinary Internal Medicine (SCVIM) does not provide routine medical care to animals (e.g. vaccines, dental procedures, and wellness visits). If you are interested in a referral, please contact your veterinarian.
