Service. Patients, clients, and referring veterinarians comprise our core community. To them, we pledge our service. We’re committed as well to the outer communities we belong to and serve. To them, we pledge our professionalism. The fruits borne by our commitment are professional and personal renewal and a deep sense of accomplishment.

Action. That’s what commitment translates to. Our doctors, for example, lecture on local, regional, and national levels to broadcast the progress occurring in our specialization areas. Collaborative relationships with our nation’s specialists shine light on advances and discoveries. From cooperation comes healing.

Knowledge. We’re committed to advancing our knowledge of the conditions we treat. Toward that goal, our surgeons participate in numerous clinical trials. As well, our surgeons help develop new techniques that improve various condition’s surgical management. Our internists engage in research projects concerned with diagnosing and treating intestinal and liver disease.

No Boundaries. We work with regional wildlife and zoological societies to provide endangered and wildlife species specialized care.

Advancement. We support the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Foundation and the American College of Veterinary Dermatology Foundation, and The American College of Veterinary Surgeons Foundation. Advancing our understanding and treatment of animal disease, supporting resident training programs, and increasing community awareness of animal diseases and specialty medicine are keys to tomorrow’s cures.

Leadership. SCVS doctors and staff provide leadership to their member organizations. From the statewide veterinary and technician organizations to national foundations, we intend to provide guidance that enhances our professions’ future.

Responsibility. We’re committed to protecting our environment. We designed our campus to be environmentally responsible because we recognize that a healthy environment makes for a longer, healthier life—and that’s our core mission.
