What To Expect
Following your veterinarian’s referral, please call to make an appointment with us (you must call to make this appointment, not your veterinarian). Here are a few pointers prior to your arrival.

  • Have your veterinarian fax your pet’s complete medical records prior to your appointment or bring them with you
  • Bring all X-rays—these cannot be faxed
  • Do not feed your pet after 8 p.m. the night before the visit (except diabetes where it is ok to feed and give insulin the morning of the visit)
  • Provide water at all times

We’ll check your pet in and take vitals. The doctor will review the records and examine your pet. We’ll discuss your pet's condition and treatment options, answer questions, and review costs. Please see our Hospital Payment Policy.

While you should be prepared to leave your pet for at least the day, we’ll discuss how long your pet may need to stay at the time of the visit. We often see pets with complex and serious illnesses. Thus, we may recommend staged diagnostics and treatment, overnight hospitalization (especially those requiring anesthesia), or in-patient treatment and monitoring.

We pride ourselves on the level of care we provide and look forward to working with you to help give you and your pet quality time together. We encourage you to ask questions and discuss concerns you may have so we can best serve you your pet’s needs.
