Waschak, Michelle D.V.M. Dr. Waschak, Diplomate American College of Veterinary Surgeons, received her D.V.M from the University of Georgia. After internships at the University of Tennessee and at a private surgical referral practice in Cincinnati, she completed surgical residency and a Masters in Veterinary Science degree at the University of Missouri. Board certified in surgery in 1997, Dr. Waschak joined SCVS after being an associate professor in Mississippi State University’s clinical teaching program. An officer of the Greater Columbia Veterinary Association she belongs as well to the Society of Soft Tissue Veterinary Surgeons where she interacts with some of the country’s best soft tissue surgeons. Her interests include oncology, reconstructive dermatologic procedures, gastrointestinal surgeries, and minimally invasive surgical procedures, subjects she lectures on locally and regionally. After Hours: Michelle and her fiancé live on a tiny farm with goats, chickens, and ducks. Two Rottweilers, a Chihuahua, and an Amazon parrot round out their brood.
